Through our manufacturing capabilities, we offer services to some of the most recognised and revered household – name brands and leading companies in the food service industry in South Africa.  Our Dealer own brand products are differentiated in terms of quality, packaging, specifications and product benefits.

The product range includes vegetable and meat products, marinades, fresh and frozen ready meals, pastry-based products, dairy products, ambient long shelf life and fillings and toppings.

Our specific capabilities lie with the specialised heat treatment technology to extend product shelf life amongst other retorting.

HISTORY

Established in 1996 Le Cap foods have grown from 12 employees to over 50 employees.  Certain staff members has been with the company over 20  Years.  We have built more than just a company, we’ve built a save environment for our people, creating job opportunities,  encouraging honestly and enriching people’s daily lives.

Our staff are qualified and highly experienced in their respective departments.
Le Cap Foods has become a recognised premium supplier of convenience foods, marinades, sauces, dressings and toppings. We supply specialised recipes and products to large food corporates.

Due to the Nature of our business, there has always been extensive focus on production, quality and process control standards.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

During his professional career, Chris served in various executive positions across functional disciplines in finance, marketing, manufacturing and strategic management in the manufacturing of high technology equipment, fast moving consumable goods (FMCG), financial services and marketing organisations.

All the mentioned positions included local as well as international exposure and responsibilities.

SYSTEMS AND TECHNICAL MANAGER

Msc Physiology and Bio -Chemistry

Founder of Le Cap Food enterprises 1996, active in the food industry for the past 42 years, including 12 years of international experience in aseptic processing, process engineering and packaging.

Currently head of all system and technical training, including maintenance requirements and schedule planning of the company.

LINDIE LOURENS

FINANCIAL MANAGER

With over 20 years of experience in various accounts responsibilities, she joined the Le Cap Foods team in 2015, starting in the procurement and ordering department, moving to head of accounts in 2017.

Her responsibilities also include HR functions.

BSc Degree in Food Science from the University of Stellenbosch. 

She joined the Le Cap Foods team in 2011.

Currently heading the new product development and quality assurance division of the company.

MARILISE SCHOLTZ

GENERAL OPERATIONAL MANAGER AND PRODUCTION PLANNING

Started her career in the restaurant trade, then worked for over 20 years for major food retail stores as a Store Manager and also Regional manager with the responsibility of eight Stores and also planning and opening of new stores.

She joined the Le Cap Foods team in 2019,  responsible for Logistics, orders, and production planning, and has since moved into the responsibility of General operational manager.

Consisting of a highly skilled team, developing the recipes of products for existing and new clients as per their specifications.

Ensuring all food safety controls are in place and maintained daily to ensure the highest quality products. Training of Employees on processes and standards.

Filling, weighing, sealing, and packing of all ingredients and items as per recipe formulations.  Ensuring the highest quality and food safety controls.

The cooking of the final product through the Retort process.

Issuing stock for different departments and also safe stock storage is this team’s responsibility.

Final product packing and Dispatch

PA/ switchboard – Stacey Skippers

Packing of the product as per client specifications and ensuring orders are dispatch safe and on time to the different designations.

Final quality checks are done in this department before orders are dispatched.
